Currently

Currently wearing on my nails the classic french mani/pedi.

Currently on Atkins so I'm eating no carbs. I wish I had some breadsticks. But I just lost 5 lbs in a week, so the diet stays for now.

Currently watching "The Mindy Project." Hilarious!! Im actually bouncing between that and "Revenge." They are both and Hulu so I can watch them on repeat. :)

Currently looking forward to my girls weekend in KC next week! Just bought a new outfit for the occasion.

Currently wishing it was sunny and 70 degrees and not snowing and overcast. Its mid april for goodness sake!

Currently burning my Fresh Lilac candle from Bath and Body works. yummy

Currently loving the song "Wagon Wheel" by Darius Rucker.

Currently reading "The Last Hope" by Nora Roberts. It is the last book in the Inns Boonsboro Series. Last year I finished her Bride Quartet series, which are amazing.

Lastly, Im currently inspired by these photos:

Future home must haves!

At the moment my hubby and I rent a lovely home in colorado. Ultimately, our dream is to own a home where we can plant flowers in a garden, finish a basement or just fix anything that isn't exactly to my liking! But alas, buying a home is very scary to me and with the very real possibility of us moving around often due to the hubby's job, makes its not the smartest decision right now. I have been making a list of what I HAVE TO HAVE in my home!
A cozy fire place is number 1 on my list! Fall is my all time favorite season. In a perfect world,  I would be cuddled up with a blanket with my beagle, glass of red wine, and a good book by the crackling fireplace!

I want a back yard deck with pretty and functional furniture. Having a little dinner BBQ get together or girly mimosa brunch outside on my deck in the spring/summer is perfection!

I also will require a roomy front porch. I want window boxes with seasonal flowers and dark shutters. I have this fantasy of siting on my front porch in the AM drinking a cup of coffee in my robe!

I WILL have a flower garden. I promise I will not kill the flowers. :)

That is my current wish list for our future home! More to come!

Spring accessory must haves

I admire those ladies who can throw on a big statement necklace with dangle earrings and an armload of bracelets, but I am not one of those ladies. I am wedding ring, pearl earrings and watch kinda gal. However, something about this seasons pieces have me smitten! I, of course, still keep it simple but here is my take on the perfect spring accessories!

These monogram necklaces are all the rage! Oh so preppy! A fresh mani/ pedi in this grapefruit hue is a must have!
Fossil is my favorite brand of bags! This leather camel tote is the perfect neutral to pair with all of our springs threads.

The bubble necklace is everywhere this season! I thinking i'll pick one up in a mint or navy blue. They look perfect with a lightweight sweater or a classic button up!

I love a polka dot scarf! This beaut is from Etsy.

Smile

Its been a rough week here, starting with a brand new crack in my windshield. Following the crack, a service engine soon light came on and that turned into my car just randomly turning off when it felt like.   So its currently at the auto shop getting tested and im here waiting.....to write them a check. :)

So in order to keep my spirits up, here are a few lovely things that make me smile!

Chris Tomlin sings an amazing version of this song. I am giddy when the band at church starts this song up!
The colors of these flower are so beautiful and inspiring. I would take a bouquet of these in my bedroom, office or dinning room everyday.

This church is more beautiful to me than any church out there.  On my drive home to Kansas I see a few like this and I am instantly transported to a simple country time.

This little girl can always make me smile!
