Oh, what a weekend!

Well Friends, it has been quite a weekend! It started off fabulous with dinner, drinks and an amazing show called the Thorn.
Notice the side pony? LOVE! We had an amazing dinner at Carrabas and bonus, it was happy hour!

These handsome men were our dinning companions!

With Easter weekend coming up, we bought tickets to see The Thorn at a local chuch here in colorado. It was kind of like The Passion of the Christ meets Cirque du Soleil.  It was so moving! It is is ever in your area, go see it!

Later on this weekend, my brother in law was in town so we decided to go to my mother in laws house for an dinner. I made this little number....and took this selfie.....Ry doesn't like to take pictures so thats why, im all alone in these :(

So while we were having dinner and catching up, our Millie found her way under the fence again. We frantically searched for her, drove around for hours that night, and nothing. I was so scared for her, thinking that she was out there in the cold, trying to find her way back home. We sent up our prayers and texted our friends to keep theirs eyes open. I left the gate open all night, thinking that she might find her  way back into bed that night, but she didn't. So I took the next day off work and called the humane society every hour, made 300 flyers and posted them on doors in the neighborhood. With no word at about 4:30, I was losing hope. Just then I get a phone call from an unknown number, turns out, he saw Millie last night while he was walking his dog and thought that he saw his neighbor try to get a hold of her to keep her off the streets. I thanked him and ran out of the house to the house he suggested to check. I knocked on the door and no answer. Just then, someone pulled into their driveway. I explained the situation, he calls his wife to "see if they have her," hangs up and goes inside and gets Millie! It was my baby, but in a slighter more tacky collar. I asked him what happened to her collar and he just shrugged it off. We are pretty sure they were going to keep her,  but they obviously gave her back so I guess we will never know. We wanted to thank everyone who helped bring our baby back so tonight after work, I dropped these off at their houses.

Cute thank you cards with the reward cash!

Ry and Millie reunited!! We are so happy to have her home!!!

Fabulous Friday night in!

Who doesnt love Friday!! I have to work tomorrow so its not as exciting for me, but I still managed to have a lovely time. My husband is out of town with friends so I had the house all to myself. Here are the highlights!

I got to snuggle with my baby! How stinking cute is she!!!!

So I have been talking about my love for mint and today it appears on my nails! I was nervous about it but it is gorgeous! I cant wait to see how it looks with one of my cute spring outfits!
P.S. There is NOTHING better than a mani/pedi and the invention of shellac was a God send!

Boriello Brothers Margarita pizza is the best in town!

Almost empty bottle of Pinot Noir. I think I am now immune to its effects. :)

Sex and the City is the dogs tuxedo! (If you really love the show like I do, you will get that reference.)
I own the series and usually have it playing on a loop! Here are a few of my favorite quotes from the show.

- “Some people are settling down, some people are settling and some people refuse to settle for anything less than butterflies.”  This always reminds me of my very good friend Alyssa. She knows what she wants and deserves and I have so much respect for her because of that. I cant wait to know her future husband, because I know he will be something very special.

-"“Maybe our girlfriends are our soulmates and guys are just people to have fun with.”
I love my husband so so much, but there is something different about your girlfriends. Mine are my lifeblood. I am so incredibly blessed to have them in my life.

I know it is called Sex and the City which would make one think that it is all about women and relationships with men, and it is to a degree. However, the underlying theme of the show is friendship and how through thick and thin, they have each other. Love it!

Sparkle!!

So if you know me, you know that I am not one for much glitz or glitter, but this Spring I might branch out a little. Add a little prep to the sparkle and you've got a winner! Here are a few examples that are totally working for me!

Both are paired with pearls and blazers and pairing the sparkle with either bright spring colors or muted neutrals is lovely. Not sure where to get one of these beauties so if anyone has an idea, I'm a medium! :)

It's officially Spring!

Hello again! Today is officially the first day of Spring! Spring is one of my favorite seasons; things start to turn green again, a light cardigan in a pastel hue, and the scent of lilacs and honeysuckle fill my house! Here are few things I am totally loving lately!

So picture this. The white lace tank under the mint lightweight sweater with the lavender scarf draped around your neck. AMAZ! I would totally wear this to go shopping of out to brunch with my hubby! These are in my cart at Gap online and you will most likely be seeing these on me very soon!

How cute would this outfit be for a spring wedding or headed to church?! I have the mint clutch from Gap and the dress and cardi are from Jcrew Factory.

Now, for a little Pinterest love. It is a full blown addiction for me!
1.I love love love the first out fit! I credit it for my blogs namesake! Polka dots and pearls, so classic!
2. This quote really made me think. I am working everyday to thank Him for my blessed life.
3. Basket full of lilacs! How quintessential spring! I just bought candles, room sprays and car scents in this fragrance! Delightful!

You gotta start somewhere...

Hello blog world! I am exciting to be embarking in this endeavor! This first post is coming from my new macbook pro my amazing husband got me for my 27th birthday! He is such a caring guy and his beautiful gift gave me the push I needed to start my blog. I have a obsession with fashion, home decor, wine and sleep! With that being said, it will come as no surprise that I am writing this post from my cozy king size bed, sipping on a glass of cabernet while browsing the Gap and Pottery Barn websites! For your viewing pleasure here is a few pics of yours truly, just so you can put a face with the blog!
I do not like to work out per-say,but I know the benefits so I do it on occasion.
Here I am coming down the Bar trail after doing the Manitou Springs Incline. Its a big deal. Google it. :)
This is a pic of me and my besties! We have known each other since Jr. High and although life gets crazy, we still make time to see each other. Here we are at Union Station in Kansas City, January 2013.

As I mention in my, "About me" my husband and I have a little 4 year old beagle named Millie. You will be seeing a many many pictures of Millie on here, which is a treat for all of us since she is so cute :)! Here she is laying on "her" bed, aka the guest bed. She is such a sweet girl, but absolutely has her moments. Take today for example, I was in the middle of cooking dinner, (which was amazing by the way, i'll save my delicious recipe for another post) so I was in the middle of cooking and she wasn't underfoot like usual. Beagles love their food! So I'm frantically searching for her inside and out, and discover her in the backyard of a house that is 2 houses down! Apparently she dug a hole in the fence and went exploring.... ooh silly puppy.

Well I am out of wine so I think that is my que to sign off for the night. To conclude, I'm not sure the path this blog will take but I look forward to finding out! I will end with one of my favorite quotes, pretty cliche but still a goodie and I think it defines the way I try to think about things in my life.

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13"
